I smile a lot. I laugh easily, and I genuinely love being around people in love.
I'm endlessly curious about beauty—in people, light, fashion, architecture, and the small moments that most people never notice. I'm always chasing photographs that feel effortless yet intentional, honest but beautiful.
I love making art that feels emotional without being overly sentimental. Images that reveal something true about the people in them while still feeling elegant and cinematic.
I enjoy directing when it's needed, but I'm just as happy waiting for something unexpected to unfold. The balance between the two is where my favourite photographs are made.
Outside of weddings you'll usually find me wandering antique shops, travelling somewhere new, reading a good book, watching far too much true crime, or admiring beautiful clothes, wedding dresses, and shoes.
A few things I'll never tire of:
• Vineyard, estate, and old-world venues
• Antique markets and vintage treasures
• Beautiful designer fashion (especially on sale)
• True Crime and Murder Podcasts
• My black cat
• Travel anywhere
• Books, books and more books
• Weddings in every form
Seventeen years of photographing weddings has taught me one thing above all else: no single style of photography can tell the whole story of a wedding day.
Some moments ask for a quiet observer. Walking down the aisle. Your dad seeing you for the first time. Your grandmother wiping away tears. Your friends laughing during dinner. Those moments deserve to unfold naturally, without interruption.
Other moments deserve thoughtful direction. Portraits that feel effortless. Knowing where to place your hands. Finding beautiful light. Creating images that feel elegant without ever feeling overly posed.
Docu-torial is about movement, emotion, and beauty.
My approach blends documentary photography with an editorial eye, moving seamlessly between observation and direction so your gallery feels both honest and beautiful.
Film has become an essential part of that process. I love its honesty, its colour, and the nostalgia woven into every frame. Rather than treating it as an add-on, I photograph with film throughout the day wherever it naturally belongs.
When you open your gallery years from now, I hope you see more than beautiful photographs. I hope you remember how your mother looked fastening your dress. The way your partner smiled at you across the room. Your friends on the dance floor. The quiet moments you never knew happened, and the ones you'll never want to forget.
If that sounds like the way you'd like your wedding remembered, I'd love to hear from you.

Not only were her photos lovely, but it's clear she really cares about the people she works with. She was so invested in everything along the way, from helping me pick outfits for our engagement shoot to the wedding timeline.
I could text her anytime, and she was incredibly responsive. We interviewed several other photographers, but no one felt as warm, genuine, or as generous as Leana with their care."

Before the wedding, she would gladly give me advice, make me feel excited and confident every time I shared a detail about the wedding, and most importantly, she made me feel excited to have her around at our wedding.
This was the most important because I felt 100% comfortable with her from the second she arrived to take photos. She flawlessly blended into the event- she was never intrusive and allowed us to enjoy the most important moments of the day; the photos taken during those moments are stunning!"

From the very beginning, she was organized, knowledgeable, and so easy to talk to. She helped with planning, stayed on top of communication, and made the whole process feel simple and stress-free.
We’ve received nonstop compliments on our photos. People are still talking about them. If you want someone who genuinely cares, knows exactly what she’s doing, and goes above and beyond, she’s the one you want with you on your wedding day."
