AN EDITORIAL STYLED SHOOT FOR A FAIRYTALE WEDDING DAY
I have been dreaming of this editorial photoshoot for some time, as I love Chateau Noland and wanted to create something fun and beautiful that showcased their newly added additions of a Castle Tower, and gorgeous hillside Gazebo, and their new waterfall and iron-wrought bridge- a space that creates the feeling of a being in a romantic fairytale. If you are a fan of “Bridgerton” or “The Princess Bride” like I am, and you want a wedding with a sense of whimsical romance in a European garden setting, this is the perfect wedding venue for you. You don’t have to travel all the way to England to have a European-esque wedding day, you can have it right here in San Luis Obispo.
I wanted this shoot to tell a story of a couples journey from their wedding proposal, to their engagement shoot, to their wedding wedding day. I love florals, soft feminine romance, and floaty ethereal dresses, and I wanted this shoot to show couples how creative and stylish sessions can be. If you’re a couple that loves to dream and wants a wedding experience that feels like stepping into another time, I hope this editorial photo shoot will inspire you to come and dream with me.
A WEDDING STORY FILLED WITH OLD WORLD ROMANCE
First the proposal…
In the story of this styled shoot, we begin with a woman and a man who travel the world together and fall in love wandering the cobblestone streets and vineyards of England and France. With a love for culture and old-world romance, the groom proposes to his love in a wrought gazebo surrounded by flowers. They dream of a wedding that reflects their love for travel, history and elegance.
The Boudoir Session…
She books a secret boudoir session, which she plans to give to him on her wedding day. Soft and sensual with moody light, it’s a session for her to show her love and devotion.
An Enchanted Engagement Session…
They take engagement photos together in the streets of Paris- she wears an open backed dress with lace and holding a bouquet of flowers. The shoot is a romantic date night together and the enjoy a candlelight dinner and a Champagne toast, feeding each other macaroons and grapes, whispering sweet nothings as the day sets.
A Wedding Day at the Castle…
Finally their wedding day arrives, and the beautiful bride… on her way to the wedding… is captured and stolen away to a tower on the hill! Calling to her love to save her, she cannot find him! Finally her appears and fights his way to her rescue her from her prison and whisks her away to her wedding…where they promise to be together forever… but of course, she has to change her dress just one last time. 🙂
THE END.… I hope you love this dream and cannot wait to talk about your own beautiful story!
