Cassie & Tyler’s Summer Wedding at the Lodge at Malibou Lake | Agoura Hills Wedding Photographer
Cassie and Tyler’s romantic summer wedding at The Lodge at Malibou Lake in Agoura Hills, California was filled with joyful tears, timeless beauty, and heartfelt moments. Nestled in the Santa Monica Mountains, this historic lakeside venue provided the perfect backdrop for their emotional and elegant celebration.
As an Agoura Hills wedding photographer, I absolutely love photographing weddings at the Lodge at Malibou Lake. The venue boasts over 80 years of weddings and celebrations for the Malibou Lakeside community, combining rustic charm with Hollywood glamour. With its indoor and outdoor ceremony spaces, stunning lake views, and lush mountain surroundings, it’s one of the most beautiful wedding venues in the Agoura Hills and Thousand Oaks area.

Lodge at Malibou Lake Wedding Details
Cassie chose a romantic summer wedding palette of soft greens, pale blues, and white roses accented with blue thistles. Her floral design featured eucalyptus and cascading greenery, creating a fresh and organic feel. A birchwood chuppah was adorned with lush florals, and the wooden tabletops were decorated with hints of gold—perfectly complementing the rustic-modern aesthetic.
The reception space at the Lodge blended vintage charm with modern sophistication. Velvet and leather lounge furniture, antique glassware, and white paneled walls created a stylish space filled with natural light. Modern farm tables and chairs completed the look.
Elegant Summer Bride in Lace Wedding Dress
Cassie wore an off-the-shoulder lace wedding gown with a classic button-back design and cream undertones. Her train was a showstopper—sheer lace cascading in timeless elegance. She paired the look with a gold-stacked oval engagement ring, halo diamonds, and a modern octagon-shaped bracelet. Tyler looked sharp in a navy blue suit, standing out against his groomsmen’s grey suits and soft blue ties.

A Jewish Wedding Ceremony Full of Tradition
Cassie and Tyler celebrated their Jewish heritage with a meaningful and traditional ceremony. They included the glass-breaking ritual and offered guests custom Jewish kippahs. During dinner, one of the bride’s closest friends gave a surprise live performance. The evening continued with music by DJ Joel Macht, and guests danced joyfully, especially during the traditional hora—lifting the bride and groom on chairs in celebration.

Sunset Photos at Malibou Lake Wedding Venue
We ended the day with romantic sunset portraits by the lake, walking the dock and tree-lined paths as golden light poured in. As a wedding photographer who loves golden hour portraits, this was one of the most magical parts of the day. The bride and groom shared a quiet moment away from the celebration, basking in their first sunset as husband and wife.

Emotional First Looks with Family
One of the most emotional moments of the day was Cassie’s first look with her father and brothers. She also read heartfelt letters to her parents—capturing the family’s deep love and connection.
If you’re planning a Thousand Oaks or Agoura Hills wedding and are looking for a venue filled with character, beauty, and mountain views, the Lodge at Malibou Lake is an incredible choice.
