Engagement sessions should be about making an awesome memory together. They should be like a really really fun date at the beach, or in town, or at a cafe- where you do things you enjoy together and something that you’ll still talk about it in the years to come and go “Wow remember how much fun we had doing this… ” That’s what engagement session should be about. They’re more than just about the photos- they are about the memory.
When you’re planning a wedding it’s not always fun it can be really stressful at times. There’s a lot of things to check off your to do list, a lot of things to find ways to pay for, guest list to make and peoples opinions to filter… I know that my couples go through stress in this period of time. So I like to make your engagement session a moment where you just get to go out and have fun together. It’s part of the celebration of your wedding year, of the journey that you’re taking together and something that you’ll look back on and only think about how much fun that day was. It’s another day to add to your reserve of wedding memories that you cherish.
There’s just something about this session that makes me hear love songs in my head. When I say that I love working with free, spirited couples, this is exactly who I’m talking about. Carrie And Isaac are just everything that embodies the beauty of love the beauty of youth, the beauty of being free spirited, and just truly enjoy each other, and the moment that you’re in.
of course all my couples start out a little shy when we first start snapping photos, which is why I like to start easy with just walking around San Luis Obispo pretending like you’re on an afternoon date looking into the shop windows and even grabbing a cup of coffee. I like to warm a couples into it but to be honest, these guys jumped in headfirst. Within minutes they were snuggling up and taking direction and twirling around and I could see right away. They just love to have fun together.
