When I shot Nillie’s and Ehab’s Persian wedding in San Luis Obispo, I had never seen a sofreh before, and I was absolutely blown away by how beautiful and ornate they are. They’re really are no words to the level of care and love that goes into creating these for couples. It was such a treat to capture all of their ceremonial traditions like the feeding of honey and placing the veil above the couple’s heads during their Persian wedding ceremony, and of course the belly dancer during the reception was a wonderful surprise.
