Embark on a journey through the whimsical and picturesque celebration of Alex and Zach’s boho-inspired fall wedding at Terra Mia Vineyards, a captivating haven nestled in the heart of the Central Coast of California. As a seasoned wedding photographer, Terra Mia ranks among my top five favorite vineyard wedding venues, and Alex and Zach’s nuptials exemplify the venue’s magic.
There were so many favorite parts of their beautiful fall wedding day that I loved- but my favorite part was probably the colors they chose. I love the warm earth tones and the casual boho elegance the pulled off so effortlessly. I also love that they had a trained hawk as their ring bearer and a gorgeous owl for their guests to appreciate later on. That was a really unique and personal touch since Zack loves birds of prey. I loved capturing all the love and laughter and thought they had put into their day, along with all the personal touches that told the story of who they are as a couple.
The splendor of Terra Mia’s fall charm unfolded in November, with a palette of rich, warm hues painting the vineyard landscape. The vines adorned with vibrant leaves and ancient oak trees provided an exquisite backdrop, setting the stage for an unforgettable autumnal celebration. November and October weddings are gaining popularity, offering a refreshing escape from the sweltering summer days.
I love the way the couple used the natural colors in the landscape in their decor and brought geometric shapes and warm tones into their ceremony, giving everything a refined but boho wedding vibe. I am a huge fan of triangle shaped wedding arches, and I always think that they look so cool and elegant.
While the allure of Terra Mia is undeniable in the fall, this enchanting venue radiates beauty year-round. Having photographed numerous weddings here across various seasons, I can attest to its versatility and timeless appeal.
Terra Mia boasts a myriad of features that elevate any wedding experience. From a tranquil pond and cascading waterfall to graceful willow trees and a charming barrel room, the venue’s natural elements enhance the romantic ambiance. A picturesque bridge connects different areas seamlessly, while the expansive vineyards create a captivating backdrop. The inclusion of a well-appointed bridal suite and immaculate, easily accessible bathrooms adds a touch of convenience to the elegance.
Beyond its aesthetic charm, Terra Mia presents practical perks for a seamless celebration. With everything conveniently close, older family members can navigate the site effortlessly. The venue’s allure lies not only in its visual appeal but also in the thoughtful considerations that make every moment enjoyable.
The best time of year to get married in Paso Robles is fall in my opinion, as the weather has cooled own and the vines are rich and lush with golden leaves, and it rarely rains. We get a long Indian summer and the touristy wine tasting crowds in Paso are gone, it’s the perfect time for a family weekend in the area and a fall wedding. .
Alex and Zach’s wedding serves as a treasure trove of inspiration for those seeking a boho-themed celebration. From the intimate fall wedding ceremony settings to the radiant couple portraits against the vineyard’s backdrop, their day captures the essence of a dreamy, bohemian-inspired affair. I love their triangle boho arch and the pampus grass they used in their florals.
For couples in search of an unparalleled vineyard wedding venue, Terra Mia stands as an unrivaled choice. Let Alex and Zach’s enchanting celebration be your guide, offering a glimpse into the magic that awaits you at Terra Mia. Whether you envision a fall wedding or a celebration in any other season, Terra Mia Vineyards promises an idyllic setting for your unforgettable day. As Zach and Alex said I DO and their officiate asked for their rings, their wedding guests watched as a gorgeous trained hawk swooped down onto Zack’s arm and delivered their bands. It was the perfect moment to seal with a kiss.

Weddings in the fall are all about getting cozy and warm as the season’s change and Terra Mia’s pond side venue complete with fire-pit and gorgeous willow trees is the perfect combination of modern meets elegant that also feels like it could be your own backyard.
The decor beautifully complimented the fall season
They have bold florals and feather elements, an actual owl and falcon as special guests, emerald green bridesmaid dresses, structural gold modern vases, mid century decor to swoon for, and so much laughter, romance, and love. Fall and winter weddings are so beautiful and a great opportunity to use rich and vibrant wedding colors while also keeping the over all feeling light and ethereal. My only question is, have you ever seen a more gorgeous and happy couple? I didn’t think so!
In the heart of Paso Robles Wine Country
Vineyard weddings are always so full of photography opportunities. It’s one of my primary goals to catch an incredible sunset and make sure everything is timed just right for that half hour of golden light. With Casey at Blush and Twine designs expert coordination we were perfectly set to take advantage of the setting sun after we caught a fun jeep ride up to Terra Mia’s grand tree that overlooks the rolling vines. We all had a great time playing with Alex’s beautiful wedding veil and the breeze blew it around their heads and created a breathtaking romantic envelope around them- I am pretty sure they forgot I was even there. And that is what is is all about, right? Being so wrapped up in each other you forget the world exists.
